Overview of the organization

Coca Cola European Partners, the worlds’ largest bottler of Coca Cola products, operates in over 15 countries in the UK, Europe and Nordic region with over 30 manufacturing facilities.

 

About the project 

CCEP was looking for an integrated management systems software solution to manage supplier non-conformances, Supplier Frequency Quality Index, and Quality, Environment, Safety and Health systems, as well as commercialisation and product stewardship.

integrum and CCEP agreed to kick off a pilot program at one site, Morpeth UK to test the system for incident reporting, document management, supplier non-conformance reporting (NCR).

integrum configured NCR system and incident reporting (QESH) and document management including all procedures and quality plans.

integrum also created simple dashboard reports using the integrum BI system.

CCEP then wished to move from pilot to full deployment across the enterprise.

With over 11,500 staff situated across United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland, the system needed to be robust in performance and reporting. This has now included Germany and shortly Spain and Portugal.

Initially CCEP rolled out the supplier non-conformance function to raise non-conformances against suppliers, look up and extract data on raw materials, packaging, finished goods and other key data and create a claim and corrective actions against the supplier.

The BI dashboards allow users to track supplier performance across all countries and filter by country, region and site and for all suppliers.

In addition, suppliers can now automatically upload their monthly supplier volumes to their suppler portal and this automatically uploads into the system and updates the dashboards and reports.

The next function to roll out was Incident & Investigation Management. The Incident system allows easy capture of key incident data , risk rating and provides automated notifications to  managers based on severity and category.

The incident can be captured on the offline mobile app on devices including photos and synchronised back into the system.

Detailed Investigation and Corrective Action processes are raised to subject matter experts for assigning actions to closure.  The system contains investigation and root cause analysis tools including ICAM (Incident Cause Assessment Methodology) to easily identify contributing factors and causal analysis.  All with BI dashboards and reports in real time with filters.

Safety observations, inspections and audit templates provide easy capture integrated with corrective action processes. All with automated email notifications and escalations.

The controlled document management system provides centralised system for CCEs’ operating manuals, SOPs, work instructions, legal requirements and other documentation. All with version control and archive management.
